Lesson for April 23 and 24: More Majestic Architecture

For April 23 and 24, please do the following...

1. Watch my introductory video, posted below.

2. Study the photographs of Suleymaniye Mosque, the Bagan Temple Complex, and the Grand Choral Synagogue. Look for the architectural elements that I introduced in connection with Gothic architecture: the size of the buildings, the shape of the buildings, the building materials, the use of windows and natural light, the use (or not) of color, and the amount of detail and ornamentation.

4. Watch a short video about the Suleymaniye Mosque (here).

5. Answer the questions posted here.
